MUSIC IN CALARY 

The next concert in Calary Church will be at 8 pm on Thursday 3 October when The Phoenix Winds — Julie Maisel (flute), Paul Roe (clarinet) and John Hearne (bassoon) will play, among other pieces, Cinq Pieces by Jacques Ibert, Fragments by Robert Muczynski, Rome Suite by Luigi Zaninelli and Rubishperes by Valerie Coleman.

ROUNDWOOD AFC AGM 

Roundwood AFC are having their AGM on Monday 30th September in the clubhouse, Varty Grounds at 8pm.  All motions and nominations to be sent to the Club Secretary, Debbie Lowe, Roundwood AFC, Vartry Grounds, Roundwood, Co. Wicklow in writing prior to the AGM.  All new members are very welcome.

UKULELE PLAYERS 

Roundwood Ukulele Players will resume their strumming and singing in Roundwood Parish Hall. The ukulele class is for Adult Beginners and is open to everyone and anyone, but mostly to those who would love to sing and learn a new instrument but have never taken the plunge before! DEMENTIA SUPPORT 

Volunteers sought to support a local family in the Roundwood area. Wicklow Dementia Support (WDS) is seeking volunteers 

ALZPALS is a befriending service which supports people with dementia who are living at home. We are looking for volunteers to become a friend to someone with Dementia. Volunteers are required to drop in to visit a person with dementia once a week for two hours and give their carer a break.

MEN’S SHED TALK 

An occupational therapist will give a talk to the members of Roundwood Men’s Shed on Thursday 26th of September from 11am – 12 noon on the subject of dealing with memory loss. MOBILE LIBRARY   

Wicklow County Council Mobile Library will be in Roundwood Village on Thursday26th 

September 2024 from 10am until 11.15am and also from 2.10pm until 4.30pm. Come along and join the library. It’s a free service and is a fantastic way to pick up any book that suits your reading interests.
