The closing date for submissions on the permit application is the 4th of April. To ensure a harmonious and happy weekend for all concerned the Community Council will facilitate gathering of observations from local people on this event and make a submission to the Council before this deadline date. If you wish to make an observation through this channel please email submissionbeyondthepale@gmail.com before 12 noon on the 2nd of April. All observations will be amalgamated to form one submission to Wicklow Co Council. Please note that this email address will cease to exist and will not be monitored after the 12pm on Sunday 2nd of April.

The Roundwood and District Historical, Folklore and Archaeological Society’s next talk will be on Tuesday 28th March in the Parish Hall at 8pm. Yvonne Whitty, Community Archaeologist for Wicklow County Council, will discuss the story of the Moneycarroll burials at Newtownmountkennedy, who were laid to rest over 1500 years ago. All welcome.
