CANCER SUPPORT
Roundwood Cancer Support would like to thank all who supported The Rock & Roll charity night in Tochar House on Thursday the 23rd of December who helped raise €1761.00 euro for our charity. This will help towards giving support who need it during and after treatment of cancer.
A special mention to organiser Karl Thomas and to Niall and Padraig Fanning and all who collected money on the night.
CALARY DINING HALL AT MUKURU
Calary Parish has supported the work of Sister Mary Killen for street boys at Mukuru in Nairobi, Kenya for many years. A new Dining Hall has recently been built at Mukuru which will be called The Calary Dining Hall in recognition of the Parish’s support over the last 20 plus years. This will replace the previous building which is now very dilapidated.
LOTTO
Results of the lotto draw held on Sunday January 8th, 2023. There was no jackpot winner, the numbers drawn were 8, 24 ,27 & 28. There was one match three winner, Aidan Dowling. Next week’s jackpot will be €25,600.
BINGO
Next Bingo Sunday the 15th of January 2023 3pm at Annamoe Community Centre.
SET DANCING
Wishing all our supporters a happy New year and thank you for all your support since we returned dancing in April 2022! We will return to the hall on Thursday, 12th January.
UKULELE LESSONS
Looking to start a new hobby in 2023? Following on from the super success of our Tuesday morning Adult Ukulele class, I will be adding an extra evening class in the new year on Tuesday evenings in Roundwood Parish Hall. Classes will start January 10th and will run every week from 10.00-11.00am and 6.30-7.30pm.
The Adult Beginner class is open to everyone and anyone, but mostly to those who would love to sing and learn an instrument but have never taken the plunge before!
This is a great opportunity to sing for fun, learn something new and take some time out for yourself. Please contact Linda on 087-9729956 for more information and to book your place.
