CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
It was a perfect evening last Saturday night for the great crowds who hit the streets of Roundwood to witness the turning on of the Christmas tree lights. Many thanks and well done Joe Synnott Roofing and team for the sponsorship and erection of the fantastic Roundwood Village Christmas tree. Thanks to Robert Power Electrician & his staff for doing the needful on the Christmas lights all around the village. It looks amazing.
A big, big thanks to Kitty Kennedy, one of Roundwood’s oldest residents, who had the mighty task to officially turn on the Christmas tree lights. Thanks to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to come to Roundwood to see the children and to the Roundwood Folk group and the many great carol singers who got us all into the festive spirit.
The opportunity to gather again to have a chat over a mug of lovely mulled wine and other refreshments in the Parish Hall went down a treat too. The work on the Christmas lights in the village is coordinated and funded through the Roundwood & District Community Council with some very welcome financial support this year from Wicklow Co Council. The village looks absolutely fantastic – well done to all. Let the festivities begin.
