HISTORICAL & FOLKLORE SOCIETY
Roundwood & District Historical & Folklore Society 2020 Journal Request for Volunteers for Editorial Committee To start preparations for our 2020 edition, we need volunteers to form an Editorial Committee, and from this Committee elect an Editor.
We encourage all our members to be involved in the different areas of the Society, and therefore we now welcome volunteers to produce this year’s Journal. If you are willing to be involved, can you please let us know by email, Facebook message or direct contact with a Committee Member. If you are willing to act as Editor for this year’s edition, please also let us know.
We encourage everyone to contribute to the content, and submit articles and short topical items that are of interest to the whole community.
Covid 19 is an area top of mind with everyone now, and while we feel it is important to include this in the 2020 Journal, we feel it should not form the basis of the content. As we will not know the full extent of the fallout of this, and it is an ongoing area, our plan is to include an article in the 2020 Journal, as an opening chapter to the story, and then continue the subject into another Covid specific edition during 2021. Therefore as a Society, it is important that we all capture our stories and references to Covid, we encourage you to write these down, and we will call on you to submit them for a specific Journal at a later stage.
Many thanks! RDHFS
