LOURDES PILGRIMAGE
There will be a pilgrimage to Lourdes from Roundwood in September, 2018. Names and €200 deposit before 15thJanuary, 2018 to Susan at 087 6273032. A pilgrimage to Knock will be on Divine Mercy Sunday 8thApril, 2018. More on both pilgrimages at a later date.
ALGARVE TRIP
There are a few places left on the 3 star Algarve Coast & Country trip will take place on the 27th February, 2018 for seven nights which will include visits to Silves, Lagos, Sagres & Faro. The cost will be €429 per person sharing. This will include breakfast and dinner in the Hotel Da Aldeia, Albufeira and day excursions and a one 10kg bag. CEILI DANCING LESSONS
Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 to 9pm. Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.
Moneystown Community Centre would like to wish all our patrons a Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year, also we would like to thank everyone for all their support throughout the year. Cards will continue as usual on Tuesday nights at 8 pm while our Moneystown Dance will return on Friday 9th March. Thank you.
Roundwood Men’s Shed:
The members of the Shed are participating in a MARATHON and this is a marathon which is measured in years and not kilometers. Our most mature Shedder is on the go for over 80 years and the rest of us are not all that far behind. But we will never overtake him, although hopefully we will be able to clock up that mileage eventually. There are lots of stops along the way for hip and knee replacements, battery replacements for heart pacemakers, and dentures, spectacles and hearing aids are in regular need of attention. One of the problems though is that if we are ever tested for drugs we will all fail the test. Sure it’s the drugs which keep us going and for the most part these are supplied by the local pharmacy.
We have a lovely couch with matching armchairs in the Shed but they are taking up too much room . So they are there for the taking. Talk to one of the Shedders or call 086 8650588 if you are interested.

MORNING BADMINTON
Tuesday morning badminton is back in full swing from 9.30am – beginners always welcome. Some rackets are available.
MATHS LESSONS
Rebecca Delamere will be running Maths classes for Secondary School students in Roundwood Parish Hall. Classes will be available for 1st to 6th year students and are designed to focus on common areas that students struggle with. Guaranteed small class sizes and places are limited. WALKING CLUB
The Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action every Wednesday evening meeting at 7pm at the Coach House car park. Everyone welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately 1 hour in and around Roundwood village

A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at a new time of 8 pm for the winter. Teas served. All are welcome.

Set dancing continues on Thursday nights in KAVANAGH’s lounge with an addition of giving jive lessons at 8.15pm before our weekly session at no additional cost. Music this month by Michael and Brian.
