Christmas Tree Lights – Official Switch On!
Get your Santa hats & jumpers ready in Roundwood and Moneystown as the Christmas tree lights will be turned on in the village this weekend and everyone is invited to come along to make it a special community event to mark the start of the Christmas festivities. The lights will be switched after 6pm Mass (circa 6:45pm) on Saturday, December 9th in the grounds of Roundwood Garda Station. Festive refreshments will be available afterwards in the Parish Hall

SALE OF WORK
The Roundwood & Moneystown Parish Christmas Sale of Work returned with a bang last Sunday. A big thank you must go to the organising committee who did such a brilliant job and Santa who travelled a huge distance especially to see the children from the area. A big thank you to everyone who helped out in anyway and to all those who came out to support this great community event. SATURDAY CHRISTMAS BINGO
Christmas Fun Bingo will now take place a day earlier in the Annamoe Centre on Saturday 9th December from 3pm with a surprise visit from Santa Clause. Family members including children and friends are more than welcome to attend. €5 per book and great raffle prizes. Come along and enjoy.
LUNCH CLUB
A reminder that the Active Retirement Christmas Lunch club will take place on Friday 8th December in The Roundwood Inn at 1.30pm.
ANNAMOE CENTRE
Story telling will take place in Annamoe Centre on this Friday the 8th December at 8pm. All are welcome.
COMMUNITY GAMES:
Roundwood Community Games will hold their annual fundraising bag pack on Friday 15th & Saturday 16th of December in Dunnes Stores, Newtown. LOURDES PILGRIMAGE
There will be a pilgrimage to Lourdes from Roundwood in September, 2018. Names and €200 deposit before 15th January, 2018 to Susan at 087 6273032. A pilgrimage to Knock will be on Divine Mercy Sunday 8thApril, 2018. More on both pilgrimages at a later date.
ALGARVE TRIP
There are a few places left on the 3 star Algarve Coast & Country trip will take place on the 27th February, 2018 for seven nights which will include visits to Silves, Lagos, Sagres & Faro. The cost will be €429 per person sharing. This will include breakfast and dinner in the Hotel Da Aldeia, Albufeira and day excursions and a one 10kg bag. CEILI DANCING LESSONS
Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 to 9pm. Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.

Tuesday morning badminton is back in full swing from 9.30am – beginners always welcome. Some rackets are available

Rebecca Delamere will be running Maths classes for Secondary School students in Roundwood Parish Hall. Classes will be available for 1st to 6th year students and are designed to focus on common areas that students struggle with. The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown community centre on Friday 8 December from 9.30 pm till 12. teas served, refreshments also available, door prizes. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, line-dancing, etc.
WALKING CLUB
The Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action every Wednesday evening meeting at 7pm at the Coach House car park. Everyone welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately 1 hour in and around Roundwood village
