DAY TRIPS
There will be a one day trip to Kilbeggan distillery and St. Mel’s Cathedral & shopping in Athlone on the 29th July which includes, scones, tea and dinner. WALKING GROUP
The Roundwood whizzers will have their last organised walk on Wednesday 28th of June leaving from the Coach House car park at 7pm. Well done to the great bunch of all ages who walked every week since last October. Thanks to Nollaig Cruise, Mary Dowling & all in Wicklow Local Sports Partnership who helped set up the group through the Roundwood & District Community Council. The group will be back in action in September, have a great summer & keep walking!
TIDY TOWNS
Roundwood is looking great thanks to all those who adopt a spot, litter pick, erect flower boxes, hanging baskets, cut grass, etc. throughout the area. A special thanks to the Tús participants who work away quietly in the village and on the Vartry Walks. The judging takes place in early July with the assessment starting from the approach roads of the village. Please make an extra effort in the coming weeks to pick up litter, pull kerbside weeds, etc. in and around your patch no matter where you live in the area. Your support is much appreciated

There was no jackpot winner in last weeks draw. The numbers drawn were;- 4, 10, 23 & 24. There were four match three winners, Luke & Chloe, Majella McLaughlin, Miro Ludva & Leonone Earle. Next weeks jackpot will be 11,200.

MEN’S SHED:
We listen and learn and support each other in the shed and please feel free to come along any Tuesday morning (10 – 12) to Pat Carr’s place at Mullinaveigue. You are sure of a very warm welcome. One of the shedders with a sewing machine has volunteered to carry out repairs for teenagers with torn jeans. But we now learn that the holes and tears are all the fashion. The more holes and tears, the more expensive they are. But if you have a working pair of trousers that needs a hem, then you know where to come. Lead poisoning was the solution offered to protect the vegetables from some four legged marauders. On further questioning we were told that the lead could be administered by a single barrel or a double barrel. So one of the shedders who lives close by is ready and armed to fire some warning shots. MONEYSTOWN DANCE
The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday 14 July from 9.30 pm till 12. Teas served, refreshments also available, door prizes. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, etc. Our August dance is on Friday 11th and our September dance will be held on the 8th September.

Roundwood Parish Cemetery Sunday/Pattern Sunday – will take place on Sunday 23rd July. Please note the 11.30 am Mass will be Celebrated in Roundwood Cemetery. This Mass will be offered for all interred in the Cemetery and will include a Blessing of the Graves
