LUNCH CLUB
A reminder that the Active Retirement Christmas Lunch club will take place on Friday 16th December in The Roundwood Inn at 1.30.

WHIST RESULTS
The results of the whist are as follows:- Top Score: Mick Whelan; Top Gent: Ann Gaffney; Second Gent: Shay Brady; Top Lady: Maura McHugh; Second Lady: Molly Byrne; First Half: Magdalane Kennedy; Second Half: Catherine Doyle; Lowest Score: Maria Magee & Longest Sitting: Mary Cullen.  Raffle prizes were won by Kitty Kennedy, Tom McHugh, Magdelane Kennedy; Patricia Byrne & Richie Cullen.  Next whist will be on Wednesday 21st December in The Parish Centre.

CAROLS IN CALARY
The Calary Candlelight Carol Service will take place in the church at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 21 December and will be followed by refreshments in the Church Room. We would be delighted to welcome all our neighbours and friends. Everyone in Calary would like to wish you all a wonderful and blessed Christmas.

UNWANTED LAPTOPS
CoderDojo Roundwood are looking for any unwanted laptops or flat computer screens for use in our local Dojo. Any laptops donated, no matter what make or age, will be wiped clean of any data thereon and will be reprogrammed to allow children who may not have access to a laptop learn a new skill in this fun environment.  Any donations to the Roundwood CoderDojo Group will be greatly appreciated. ROUNDWOOD COUNTRY MARKET

JUVENILE HANDBALL TRAINING

BIATHLON

There will be a dance in Roundwood Parish Centre on this Friday 16th December with music by The Wicklow man.

DIAMOND  & OO2 BRIDGE
Gaye, Triona & Diamond and 002 club members would like to congratulate Seamus Kennedy and Pauric Gleeson on their magnificeint win of the Intermediate B Cup in Greystones on Sunday 4th December.  Club results for Monday 28th November  North/South  1st Gertie Fee and Phil Power, 2nd Paddy O Brien and Catherine McGillycuddy, 3rd, Nancy O Brien and Monica Brady.   Joint 1st for East/West were Clare Sally, Margaret Byrne, Seamus Kennedy and Maura Gaskin 3rd place went to John Loscher and Margaret Byrne.  1st place on Monday 5th December for North/South were Nancy O Brien and Phil Power, 2nd Joan Short and Triona Woodroofe, 3rd Derek Nielson and Margaret Bolger.  East/West 1st Monica Brady and Pawel Turczynowicz, 2nd Marian Davis and Teresa Leahy and 3rd Maura Gaskin and Clare Sally.   Members please note final night of 2016 and prize giving night will be Monday 19th December.

COMHALTAS IRISH MUSIC CLASSES
Learn traditional Irish music and dance with an award-winning Comhaltas branch (guitar, fiddle, flute, tin whistle and grúpa ceoil). Classes are held at 7 pm on Tuesday nights in St. Laurence O’Toole N.S., Roundwood – the first term is from September to January while the second term is from January to May. MENS SHED
Roundwood Men’s Shed continues on Tuesdays between 10 and 12 noon at Pat Carr’s place  in Knockraheen. It’s a Shed within a shed and why not drop along! Even if it’s a cold morning you’re sure of a warm welcome from the lighting stove and from all present. As well as the chat and the sharing and listening, plans are been made for projects and activities. A workshop is available at the shed through the good will of Pat and Matti

LOTTO RESULTS
There was yet again no jackpot winner in last weeks lotto draw.  The numbers drawn were 4, 5, 9 & 28  There were nine match three winners, S. Magee, Daniel O’Neill, Christy King, Vincent Price; Ticket no. 1251; Joe McCabe, Sam Power, Sarah King & Betty McGrath  Next weeks jackpot €19,400.

GET WALKING
Get Roundwood Walking is a great success so far with an average of 20 walkers every week.  The walks before the Christmas break are from Aras an Tochar at 7pm on Wednesday the 7th and 14th of December. Walkers are encouraged to join in the Christmas Biathlon which is taking place on the 27th of December with walkers leaving from Kavanagh’s Vartry House at 1:45pm. All welcome

ANGEL HEALING
Why not take 2 hours out of your week just for you and join us on a Monday evening at 7.30 in the Parish Hall, Roundwood.  Here you will be part of a group who know that looking after their well being is so important.  You will learn how to meditate and be still. CAR BOOT SALE
The monthly Parish Hall Car Boot Sale takes place on Sunday December 18th.  For Information and Booking please contact Ben 087-9627527 .  Indoor and outdoor spaces available, Booking is essential as limited to 20 tables indoors. Open to stall holders from 10 a.m open to the public from 12 noon to 5 pm. Tables can only be held until 11.30 a.m

ADOPT A SPOT – TIDY TOWNS
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to adopt a spot. It can be anything from keeping a stretch of road litter free to establishing flower beds – but every single bit helps. There are various categories in the Tidy Towns competition including Built Environment and Streetscape, Landscaping and Open Spaces, Wildlife, Habitats and Natural Amenities, Sustainable Waste and Resource Management, Tidiness and Litter Control, Residential Streets & Housing Areas and Approach Roads, Streets & Lanes so if you have any ideas of ways we can improve our score in these areas please do get in contact by emailing info@roundwood.ie or calling 087 2551579

YOGA
Yoga classes will resume on Thurs. 19th January in Roundwood Parish Centre.  Class run from 7.30p.m to 9.00p.m for 10 week Course.  Class will include Asana(Physical stretches), Pranayama (Breathing exercises) Relaxation and Meditation.  Course of 10 classes costs 100 euro with a minimum of 50 euro due on first night.

SET DANCING
Set Dancing continues every Thursday night in Kavanagh’s Lounge from 9pm til 11pm with music this month by the O’Kane family.  Come along and join us for a night of good fun, great exercise and a very social night out.  Also giving jiving lessons starting on Thurs  at 8.30pmbefore our weekly set dancing session. All are welcome to these lessons.Newcomers always welcome and great way to meet some locals.  Cost for night of dancing and entertainment is still only €5.
