Saturday 12th of March turned out to be a glorious day for the tree planting at the Upper Vartry Reservoir. The Roundwood Beekeepers Association with members of the community planted almost 40 trees along the recently restored path from the Upper Reservoir Dam to the Ford Road. There was a job for every make and size, be it digging holes or ferrying water for the newly planted trees. The planting bag was put to good use on the way back when a huge pile of rubbish from yesteryear was bagged and brought back for disposal. So that was the first of our National Spring Cleans as well as tree planting for National Tree Week, A fine mornings work – well done to every who came along & especially to the members of the Roundwood Beekeepers who organised the trees. Also thanks to Sachiko for beautifully capturing the work on camera!
