COMMUNITY COUNCIL AGM
The Annual General Meeting of the Roundwood & District Community Council will take place on Monday 10th of November at 8pm in the Old School. Please come along to check out what the Community Council does and to find out what is going on in the area. There will be representatives from the local Gardaí, Wicklow Co Co elected members and other community groups. If you have any issues or suggestions for the area now is the time to air them. HISTORICAL TRIP
A Roundwood Historical Society trip takes place this Saturday 25th October to view vintage machinery in Ashford and visit the Heaney Centre. Meeting at Parish hall Roundwood at 2 pm. All are welcome
CABARET
There will be a cabaret in The Royal Hotel in Glendalough on Saturday 15th November in aid of the Senior Citizens Christmas party. Your support will be welcome.
SET DANCING
Set dancing in Kavanagh’s lounge every Thursday night with live music for the rest of this month and October with Michael and Brian. Session from 9pm until 11pm. ANGEL HEALING

KILMAC HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Kilmacanogue Historical Society will host Jeff Kildea in The Glenview Hotel, Glen of the Downs at 8.30PM on Tuesday 4th November, who is the Keith Cameron Professor of Australian History at University College Dublin and an adjunct at the Global Irish Studies Centre at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. He is the author of Anzacs and Ireland (Cork UP,2007), a study of the relationship between Australian soldiers and Ireland during the First World War. He is currently compiling a database of all the Irish-born who served in the Australian forces during the war, which will be available on line. Entry €3 (€2 for members) – all welcome. Roundwood were out on full force for the two County X Country Championships on Sun 5th Oct for even ages and Sun 12th October for uneven ages.The athletes had considerable distances to run and their commitment to training over the last while was evident in all the medals and certificates they won with some races having up to 50 participants.
