Auditions/Workshop for our next production ‘The Ugly Duckling’ will take place on Monday 6th October in the Parish Hall. There will be another workshop on Wednesday 8th. As there was a large amount of children attending any child now wishing to join will have to be put on a waiting list. Times for rehearsals are:- Secondary School Students and Adults from 8 – 10 pm in the Parish Centre. Unfortunately we have a shortage of men, so for any of you men out there who would like to join, please come along tonight, its great fun.

DERRALOSSARY WORK CAMP
The United Friends of Derralossary are holding a work camp on Saturday the 18th of October from 10am to 4pm to help maintain the graveyard. The focus of this work party, apart from the usual cutting and clearing of grass, will be on the interior of the church building and the clearing of scrub and young trees which have been growing there these last few years. Family and friends of those buried in Derralossary are particularly encouraged to come along.

ADULT FRENCH CLASSES

COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING
The next meeting of the Roundwood & District Community Council will take place on Monday 13th of October at 8pm in Roundwood Old School. The Community Council is a voluntary group which attempts to improve the infrastructure and facilities in the area through liaison with the local authorities and other organisations. Projects the group are involved in include the Roundwood Festival, TidyTowns, development of a playground and youth club, organisation of evening classes, administering the Senior Alert Scheme, developing walks and the maintenance of the www.roundwood.ie website and Facebook page. If you like to become involved in any of these activities or have any suggestions that would improve the area we live in please do come along to the next meeting or any meeting. The group meets on the second Monday of the month in the Old School at 8pm.

Tuesday morning badminton started back on Tuesday 7th October at 9.30am. All are welcome. Why not call into the sports centre after dropping the children off at school. Rackets are available so just turn up.
MONEYSTOWN DANCE
Moneystown dance with the Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday 10th October from 9.30 till 12 teas, door prizes, refreshments also available, come along and enjoy a night of dancing.
SET DANCING
Set dancing in Kavanagh’s lounge every Thursday night with live music for the rest of this month and October with Michael and Brian. Session from 9pm until 11pm. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Mini Cross Country at The Murrow, Wicklow, on Friday 26 September.
